Evaluating Training Program Effectiveness                                  

 

Overview
 

An examination of the four- level model of assessing how well (or poorly!) a training program is meeting its goals. Issues discussed include testing, demonstrations of performance, transfer of learning, and organizational results. The course can be presented in a working-group session that results in developing a process that the firm can use in evaluating learners and its training programs.

 

Objectives
 
  • Define assessment and evaluation
  • Identify and describe the five levels of assessment and evaluation, when each is used, and data that is obtained
  • Identify appropriate tools for conducting each level of assessment and evaluation
  • Describe how assessment and evaluation are used in a GMP setting
  • Given a training course, identify how to appropriately use assessment and evaluation
 

Instructional Methods

  Presentation, case study, small group activities, and discussion.
